Ryan Tannehill And His Smoke Show Wife Are Headed To Nashville

Ryan Tannehill (+ a ’19 6th round pick) has been traded to the Titans for a ’20 4th and a ’19 7th.

On one hand: I have no idea why the Titans would give up a 4th AND a 7th for Ryan Tannehill who is the only person on the planet to be hurt more than Marcus Mariota, but hey that’s above my pay grade. I guess having a back-up QB that’s a proven talent (despite being injury prone) is never a bad thing.

On the other hand: I’m not really following what Miami is doing. They lost the Tyrod Taylor sweepstakes to the Chargers.Teddy Bridgewater opted to stay in New Orleans in hopes that Drew Brees decides to hang it up soon and Sean Peyton doesn’t head to Dallas instead of playing for his hometown team. So the Dolphins are left with two guys that are – in no certain circumstances – NFL starters. Maybe they’re eying somebody in the draft class this year? But still having a rookie QB be the move is a still a massive risk. Then again maybe they’re just content with the idea of not being able to do shit in the AFC East anyway.

Plus, it’s not a bad deal for Ryan since he was reportedly going to be cut anyway. So grabbing a a one-year deal for $7 million (up to $12 million with incentives) definitely doesn’t suck.

We’ll see how it all shakes out. But more importantly for Nashville, Lauren Tannehill is also on the move and that means a city of pretty people just got prettier.
