I Cannot Wait To See Draymond Green Fight LeBron Once He Eventually Becomes A Laker

(ESPN) – Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green told ESPN’s The Undefeated on Tuesday that he has officially signed with a new representation agency in Klutch Sports that also represents LeBron James.

Green, a three-time NBA champion and three-time All-Star, was previously represented by agent B.J. Armstrong with The Wasserman Group. Green signed with Klutch Sports, led by president and agent Rich Paul, on Feb. 27 in Miami.

Green will be an unrestricted free agent in 2020.

“Klutch is a cutting-edge company, it’s a pure environment, and I’ve grown to know Rich over the years,” Green told The Undefeated. “We’ve become very close. When you really take a step back and actually study what is going on, he checks every box that a player would want in an agent. So, why not? Some are afraid of what people will think or what will be said. That’s not the case for me.

One way or another LeBron is going to bring someone to LA. It may not be the caliber of player he first envisioned, but they have too much money to spend to come up empty for the duration of LeBron’s deal. So Draymond dropping his agent and being the latest player to join Klutch right before he hits free agency next year is at the very least pretty interesting. The Klutch roster is getting bigger and bigger in terms of star players with AD/Wall/Simmons already on board, and even if you don’t love Draymond as a player he is going to be one of the better free agents to hit the market next summer. The question has always been what the Warriors are going to do with their cap given all the potential free agents they could have. This summer it’s about Klay and Durant, and if both stay it’s fair to question whether or not they also extend themselves to keep Draymond given the tax bill they’ll have. It doesn’t look like Draymond will be the DPOY which means he won’t get that super max, but he’s still going to be expensive as hell when the time comes.

Then there’s also the Steve Kerr factor. Maybe once they are free to move on from Draymond they will, because it appears that he’s at the end of his rope

You also can’t ignore the Draymond/KD beef, so would it shock anyone if Durant commits but only if they move on from Draymond? It’s all on the table in my opinion. But back to his signing with Klutch, this quote made me laugh when he talked about why he joined

“It’s impossible to say LeBron played no part in me joining Klutch, simply because he has been Klutch since the beginning,” Green said. “He’s essentially a founding partner. I’ve already had a relationship with LeBron for years, so it’s always good to be able to do business with family that’s going about their business in the right fashion and getting things done. But as far as recruiting me — no, LeBron didn’t recruit me at all.”

I’m totally sure Draymond was the only Klutch client that LeBron didn’t recruit despite him pretty much admitting at the All Star break that he was going to tamper his dick off. That’s totally believable. Forget the fact that he is hungry for stars and has a shit ton of space right when Draymond is becoming available with the overall goal of taking over the Warriors out West. If you believe that you aren’t paying attention. I will say it will be pretty funny if Green is ultimately the only free agent LeBron and Klutch are able to get to LA and if you’re a Warriors fan and you were hoping to keep Draymond long term, this has to make you a little nervous. The Lakers feel like the type of team that will overpay just to bring talent in, and the more you hear about how guys don’t want to come to the Lakers, LeBron is running out of options which is why of all the potential free agents Draymond feels like the most likely to me.

Would it shock anyone if LeBron gave Draymond a little more money as a reward for punching him in the dick and getting suspended in 2016? What better way to repay him than to wildly overpay for a guy who we aren’t really sure is all that good outside of the Warriors system. Think about it.
