Irony: New York Times Puts 'College Athletes Shouldn't Be Paid' Opinion Piece Written By A College Basketball Player Behind A Paywall

Above is an opinion piece from a former college basketball player. Nothing wrong with somebody expressing their opinion. However, that doesn’t excuse you from expressing a bit of irony.

This shirt costs money to wear, but unlike most of the other content the New York Times releases, it is free to read.

They must have ran out of room to put a line for their main tenant, “The truth costs you money.” Truly, the shirt should look like this:

I would analyze what the opinion piece said, but I’m not going to pay for it. I’m sure it brings up good arguments and all that jazz, but again, I can’t read it because I have to pay for it, unlike college athletes.
