Village Idiot Colin Cowherd Rips The Yankees For Not Having Any Complementary Players - Shows He Has No Idea Who Is Actually On The Team
Listen I understand this is a tough time of the year for Colin Cowherd without the NFL. Aside from the NBA he’s forced to talk about things he has absolutely no idea about, like baseball for instance. Today he attempted to talk with A-Rod about the Yankees and their 2019 outlook. It went just about as you’d expect.
Cowherd’s big issue with the Yankees is that they’re reliant too much upon Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton. They don’t have complementary players to balance out the equation. You think Cowherd knows Judge missed two full months last year? You think he knows Giancarlo had just about the worst start to a season you could possibly have? His entire season was an up and down roller coaster and can best be described as average by his standards. Well, how did this team manage to win 100 games last year then? One hundred games. Now I’m not saying they don’t have holes because they didn’t win the division nor did they get past Boston in the ALDS, but it sounds like Colin is talking about the Angels here. He forgot literally the entire team. Maybe forgot isn’t the word since it’s clear he’s never seen them play besides probably the ALDS.
You think Colin knows that Gleyber Torres and Miguel Andujar finished in the top 3 of AL Rookie of the Year voting? Aaron Hicks just put together a top 5 season out of the center field position. Didi Gregorius continued to be a top 10 shortstop in baseball, including an opening month where he hit 10 homers and drove in THIRTY guys. Luke Voit? You don’t think Luke Voit is a grinder? The guy was essentially forgotten in the game of baseball. He was a 27 year old first baseman with no playing time in the Cardinals organization. If you project his 39 games in pinstripes over a 162 game span we’re talking a 59 homer 138 RBI season while hitting .333 and OPS over 1.000. He’s not a complementary player who doesn’t care about the spotlight? We don’t have grinders? What’s Brett Gardner? Gardy is the definition of a grinder. When you look up grinder in the dictionary his bald head pops up. He eliminated the Indians back in the 2017 ALDS after a billion pitch at bat where he refused to get out. We haven’t even talked about DJ LeMahieu or Clint Frazier.
Colin Cowherd thinks the Yankees are pretty much the LA Angels who rely upon Mike Trout and Ohtani to do everything. Fuck outta here. I know I’m way too upset about this and I shouldn’t give that buffoon a second of my day, but shit happens.
Also, A-Rod you’re an advisor to the goddamn team. How do you just sit there and not say anything? Come on guy. He could have stuffed Colin in a locker without even breaking a mental sweat.
