Blues Experience Teabag Deficiency As 11 Game Winning Streak Ends In Dallas
The Blues finish this 12 game stretch with a spectacular record of 11-1! Everybody knows this league is measured in 12 game stretches and no one even really cares about streaks at all. Definitely doesn’t suck to have this really entertaining thing end. What is the difference right? Doesn’t even matter any ways. At least none of the Blues players’ skates burst into flames with a past President of the United States sitting on the glass. Sports are stupid right? Have you seen the weather lately? Its getting warmer, who is ready to go fishing?!
Ahhh Goddamnit! It was starting to seem like they were going to win every single game and go 16-0 in the playoffs but now we know that’s not a possibility. To be honest, there isn’t a single Blues fan who can be mad right now after the absolute mess that the Blues were in before this run. Yes, it was fun as SHIT while it lasted as they literally created a new season from scratch, but there might actually be life after April 6th now, so it is well worth the disappointment.
The writing was on the wall when the Stars went up 3-0 but no Blues fans could be mad at how the they fought back tonight. They didn’t roll over at all and battled back with a few scrappy goals and a big tilt by Colton Parayko.
The real test for any team that goes on a huge winning streak is figuring out how to get back up to that level after the magic is broken. We’ve seen it in the past when teams put on miraculous runs, the streak becomes stronger as it goes because every game just feels meant to be. After the Blue Jackets had their historic streak snapped a few seasons ago, they followed it up with a 5-7 stretch right after. The Blues have to recognize this and get right back on the horse vs the Bruins who have a streak of their own.
