The Challenge War Of The Worlds Episode 3 Recap: Johnny Bananas Vs Zach
Third episode of The Challenge and my blood pressure is already rising. This episode follows the recipe for a perfect challenge episode, just like I said last recap. Starts off at the house, they head to the challenge, back to drama, and then elimination. We’ll start off with what happened at the house with Georgia and Bear hitting it off which I’m not particularly interested in because I’m not a fan of Bear but whatever. You do you guys.
Other than Georgia and Bear, more hook ups start to form in the house including Kyle and Mattie. Kyle and Mattie are partners so it’s risky to start hooking up but it seems like they have a little bit of chemistry. Of course Cara Maria doesn’t like what she’s seeing considering she used to hook up with Kyle and says to Mattie “You got STDs coming your way if you go near him.” Kyle comes storming in, of course because the producers definitely told him to, and now he’s pissed and calling Cara Maria a bitch. Obviously we knew there would be a ton of Cara Maria and Kyle drama now that she moved on and is dating Paulie.
The teams head to the challenge where the contestants were challenged to find a ball in the middle of a stone graveyard, once a ball is found, the other partner must make their way through the mud. A very physical challenge which I love to see. Down and dirty in the mud with some wrestling. Nobody can complain about that. Of course all of the contestants are out to get Johnny Bananas this season which pisses me off because Johnny Bananas is one of my favorite on the show but people in the game hate him. Johnny & Morgan, Amanda & Josh, Leroy & Shaleen are all eliminated in round 1 which was a bad sign from the start.
You can see a problem forming in the mud when Zach “accidentally” passes his ball to Wes…
Not really sure throwing the ball directly at someone counts as a “mistake” but sure Zach. This is something to keep an eye out on through the rest of the episode. Wes then keeps getting balls passed to him, next being CT.
I love CT and have a hard time being mad at him because he’s also one of my favorites so I just turn a blind eye when seeing him pass the ball to Wes. But all of this results in Wes & Dee being in the tribunal as well as Paulie & Natalie D and Kam & Ashley C.
As they head back to the house, the tribunal votes who they want to go into the pit to meet with the tribunal. Those teams were Johnny Bananas & Morgan, Kylie & Pattie, and Amanda & Josh. The tribunal then meets with the people voted in, in which Johnny Bananas and Wes have a weird stand- off where Wes acts way more important than he is.
The house drama starts again with Amanda saying she will “stab a bitch in the throat” if she gets voted in by Kam. I don’t know who Amanda thinks she is but Kam will most certainly fuck her up.
This results in Amanda & Josh (partners) fighting with each other because Josh wants Amanda to stop acting the way she does (very reasonable) she doesn’t like the sound of that and starts going off on Josh, calling him a bitch, because that’s her favorite word.
The contestants head to the killing floor where the voting begins. 2 votes for Kyle & Mattie, 2 votes for Bananas & Morgan, and 2 votes for Josh & Amanda. TJ asks Kam if she’s absolutely sure she wants to vote for Josh & Amanda causing a stalemate. Kam then says, “nobody else can change their vote?” TJ says anyone can change their vote which causes Ashley C to change his vote to Bananas & Morgan because apparently they were too scared to face the consequences (nobody even knows if consequences existed).
Johnny Bananas and Morgan head in, which they expected, and not shockingly, Johnny chooses Zach and Zahida to go against. Johnny couldn’t choose Wes because he was safe in the tribunal so he resulted in picking Zach who “accidentally” helped Wes win the game.
Welp. The answer is fucking Johnny Bananas and Morgan. They lost to Zach and Zahida in a map contest. Never in my wildest dreams did I think Zach would beat Johnny in anything having to do with geography knowledge but hey, The Challenge will always surprise you. I’m pissed Johnny and Morgan went home so soon because everyone can admit Johnny is an essential character to have in the house and on the show but it seems like this is the season of the champs going home early. First Ashley, now Johnny. Only the third episode in and shit is already flipped upside down. The good news is, Johnny Bananas is going to join us on Chicks In The Office next week and we’ll get to hear all about what happened behind the scenes.
