The Beanpot Is The Fucking Best

College hockey is the best. I preach this all the time. The raw passion and emotion displayed night in and out is unmatchable and it shows every single year at the Beanpot. From the fans, the cellys and the emotion the tournament that takes place in Boston every year is the epitome of college hockey.

For those who have been living under a rock and don’t know what the Beanpot is…It’s a college hockey tournament that takes place at the Boston Garden every year between Boston University, Boston College, Northeastern and Harvard. Local kids don’t dream about the NHL at first, they dream about playing in the Beanpot.

So year in and year out the Beanpot does not disappoint. The first two Monday’s of February the teams match up and we are usually good for a couple overtime games, which lead to cellys like Tyler Madden’s tonight.

Madden scored the OT winner for Northeastern in the semi-final game over BU to send the Huskies to the Finals where they will face off against BC next Monday.
