Daily Mail- A woman has been diagnosed with a type of hearing loss which means she can’t hear the voices of men – only women.

The patient, who has only been identified by her surname, Chen, woke up to find she was unable to hear her boyfriend.

As someone whose ears have been plugged up from a sinus infection all week, I can tell you that hearing loss definitely sucks. I am absolutely sorry for this woman that this has happened to her. But this has got to be the best-case scenario, right? Like, you can still hear. You just can’t hear men. Coming from someone who doesn’t listen to men anyways, this sounds like an excellent option.

I guess my one question would be whether it applies to music as well, because if I never got to hear John Mayer sing again I would be sincerely upset. It would also stink to not be able to eavesdrop on your male co-workers, which is a highlight of my day. Otherwise I see little to no downside. This condition affects one out of 13000 people, so it’s like the hearing loss needle in a haystack. If I were her, I would try to see the blessing instead of the curse. I promise you girl, you’re not missing out on anything. If I could go through life only hearing women, trust me, I would.
