Gas Money Bob's Week 16 NFC North Champion Bears Preview

We are the NFC North Champions. That in itself is great accomplishment but this team is far from finished. The 2018 Chicago Bears have a different feel to them. They are laser focused on winning. Not just the Division, not just the Conference, but the whole fucking thing.

Just look at what Tarik said earlier this week and that will tell you everything. This team is hungry for more and in this unbiased fans opinion the Bears are going to satiate (big word alert) that hunger.

All-Time Head to Head:

The 49ers hold a slight 34-31 record against the Bears including the playoffs but we have a knack for bouncing back in the meetings after a loss so I expect the Bears to take care of business out there in Nor Cal. The Bears lost a heart breaker last season when Bear For Life Robbie Gould hit a game winning FG as time expired. They will avenge that loss just like when they lost to the 49ers on January 6th 1985 and then 9 months later whooped their ass (and unleashed the Fridge).

Bear Weather Report:

60 Degrees (feels 60)

Precipitation 0%

Humidity 56%

Wind NW 7 mph

Unfortunately we won’t be getting any Bear Weather out in Santa Clara, but we can bring the Bear Weather attitude with us. This has to be the least Bear Weathery season in franchise history. #smh

You Bet Your Ass:

Bears -4

Over/Under 44

I really failed you guys last week by missing the over. To make it up to you I am going to absolutely 100% guarantee* that today’s gambling advice will win you money and then you can go ahead and load up my Venmo (@GasMoneyBob) with a portion or all of your profits.

Take the Bears covering the 4 and the over.

*I’m absolutely 100% not responsible if you lose.

Fantasy Start ‘em Sit ‘em:

Start:

Mitch Trubisky: I love Mitch today. He looked great last week in his 2nd game back from the shoulder injury and I expect him to be in near perfect form today as the Bears make their push for a first round bye.

Bears D/ST: Who else was laughing their ass off watching the game last night while the announcer were choking on the Ravens D (get it)? The Bears are the best Defense in the league and its not close. Even without Eddie in there today they are going to feast on Nick frickin’ Mullens.

Anthony Miller: He’s been quiet for too long. Nagy is going to look to get the kid involved again. I also think that Robinson might get a few less snaps today in preparation for the playoffs. You don’t want to play the Bears when Miller gets going (or any other time).

Sit:

49ers D/ST: They are in trouble today. Tarik is starving and Mitch is playing the best football of his life. Not going to be pretty for SF today.

Matt Breida: The guy is a warrior but he gets hurt every single game. Just sit out and heal up for next season Matt.

Dante Pettis: He’s come alive over the past few weeks, but now he has to go up against an elite defense. Good luck. He’ll probably get hurt too.

You will not win your championship if you start a singe 49er. Just take my advice, start as many Bears as you can, and take it home.

The 49ers:

Offense: They average 21.5 points a game. They have a good offensive minded coach but they just don’t have the bullets to compete against a team on the Bears level. They’ll be out there trying their best but it won’t equate to much. This is the guy leading them:

mullens

Defense: They’re giving up 26.6 points per game and now they have to face one of the top offenses in the league. Let’s face it the 49ers are outmatched in every way against a Bears team that John Lynch “fleeced” in the draft 2 years ago. They have no shot.

Da Bears:

Offense: They are starting to click with Mitch back healthy and don’t look now but Kyle Long is getting healthy and will likely be ready to go for the playoffs. What other team is getting an All-Pro caliber O-lineman just in time for the playoffs? There might be a few but I’m not going to look it up. The arrow is shooting up for this unit. Look out NFL.

Defense: Like I said earlier, there is not another D in the league that is anywhere near the level of this Bears. Even without Eddie Jackson I don’t think Mullens has a chance to do much at all today. Bears will roll again and probably score a couple of TDs while they do it.

Fun Fact:

I don’t know that stats but from the my personal experiences in San Francisco they have the craziest homeless population in the United States. Not scary, not violent, just messed up.

crazy

Game Prediction:

Bears 37

49ers 10

Coming Up Next Week: We rest our starters against the Vikings in Minnesota
