The Official Referee Explanation For The Opening Kickoff Fumble In The Cowboys/Eagles Game Is Somehow More Infuriating Than The Missed Call Itself
“No clear recovery.” I agree, it is difficult to see which one of the multiple Eagles came away with the ball. So basically, the refs are saying they admit the call on the field was wrong with the fumble, but they could not identify who recovered the ball because of the so-called “Pile Up”. It doesn’t matter if only Eagles players were part of said “Pile Up” and could be the only ones in this dimension that could have possibly come away with the football. It couldn’t be determined by video evidence and/or common fucking sense.
Dear Clete,
Go fist yourself.
Kind Regards,
Philly
OK. Got it all out. As I said yesterday, we can sit here and blame the refs all life long. Yeah, multiple people should be fired from the result of that opening kickoff debacle. The pass interference for a swim move within 5-yards of the line of scrimmage on what would’ve been the game-tying touchdown was certainly something. But the referees weren’t responsible for Bum Prescott throwing a career high 455 yards against the Eagles. The stripes didn’t force Jake Elliot to miss an extra point. The refs weren’t in charge of Wentz fumbling at the end of the first half when the Eagles were driving to make it 3-3 and instead turn it around for a 62-yard FG for the Cowboys to go up 6-0. It was simply another game, another 0 points in the first quarter by the Eagles. At the time the Eagles had run 13 plays the Cowboys had 13…FIRST DOWNS. Eagles running backs carried the ball 11 times all game. The Cowboys had 576 yards of total offense. The fact this game was decided in OT is a miracle in itself. The Eagles simply are not a good enough team right now. That’s not the ref’s fault, even though Clete and his boys were a talking pile of pig shit.
However…THIS:
HOW ‘BOUT THEM ZEBRAS!
