So this is from a couple days ago when Snoop Dogg was given a well-deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame but I just saw it today so that’s why I’m blogging it now. Snoop thanking himself for being a bad motherfucker is why he’s the best. Snoop is a national treasure. He’s one of the greatest entertainers of my lifetime and any lifetime. He’s just a cool dude who smokes more weed than you can possibly imagine who everyone likes. I remember at the Flava Flav roast when host Katt Williams introduced Snoop as the 8th wonder of the world and he couldn’t have been more correct. I’d argue that no one has navigated being famous as well as him over the years. He’s continued to stay relevant and beloved as his contemporaries have faded from public view. Think about this. He went from rapping “Murder Was the Case” in 1994 to having a show with Martha Stewart in 2016. Name another entertainer who has done anything remotely like that, I’ll wait. You can call that selling out but I call it being able to adapt. Snoop has done it all and more. So I also wanna thank Snoop for being a bad motherfucker. What a legend. I hope he lives forever.
