Le'Veon Bell Did Not Report To The Steelers By 4 PM And Officially Forfeited The 2018 Season In Addition To $14.5 Million

Well there you have it folks. After 4 exhausting months followed by a riveting few hours and a zillion different ESPN reports about Le’veon showing up any time from August until today, the #LeveonWatch is finally over as is Le’Veon’s 2018 season. Being the journalist I am, I set up a #LeveonWatchWatch of Steelers HQ and got some pretty sweet shots of Mike Tomlin bringing his lunch to work (paper bag lunch with what appeared to be a soda for those wondering) and some local Pittsburgh reporter reading Le’Veon’s stats from the Steelers press guide.

But Le’Veon never showed up and now we will enter the 2019 NFL offseason with transition tag talk, matching rights, and other shit no football fan wants to hear, yet important stuff for a player looking to get PAID while playing a position where a team can grind you to dust. In the end, I imagine the risk of having an Earl Thomas or Dez Bryant injury occur on a team that Lev couldn’t come to a long-term agreement with just wasn’t worth $14.5 million, considering there will be a handful of teams looking to pay a 2-time All Pro running back, no matter how much people dismiss the importance of his position. In the end, I think everyone, including Le’Veon, the Steelers, fantasy owners, and just casual NFL fans are just happy this bullshit is over with. Except Le’Veon owners in keeper leagues. They are pissed as fuck right now.

On the bright side, this tweet went from quirky to hilarious considering it didn’t mean a fucking thing in the end.

And this tweet is damning because it says that Le’Veon Bell doesn’t like football.

That tweet is more egregious than tweeting upside down like an asshole, thus letting other assholes know they can tweet upside down, thus making assholes that are addicted to Twitter like me read a bunch of upside down tweets.

Now we will watch and see how far the Steelers will go with the impressive John Conner knowing he won’t have any company in the backfield outside of Stevan Ridley. But until next season, I am officially off the #LeveonWatch.
