Frankie Fins Week 10 wrap up: Rut Roh

Will someone please confirm the identity of Miami Dolphins head athletic trainer Kyle Johnston. He does not seem to be who he says he is. He seems like someone very familiar, as the Dolphins injury report reaches ridiculous proportions. Already without starting quarterback, Ryan Tannehill for the fifth straight week, the Dolphins were missing four of their five starting linemen, when the game began against the Green Bay Packers in Lambeau Field.

Despite the odds, Miami was competitive for more than a half. The Dolphins, however, blew a chance to take control of the game as Brock Osweiler fumbled at the Green Bay 19 ending the first drive in disappointing fashion. The Packers would march the ball 70 yards in eight plays with Devante Adams grabbing a touchdown pass in the end zone. The Dolphins went three and out on their next possession but caught a break when Tramon Williams fumbled on the punt return. The Dolphins offense though had to settle for a Jason Sanders Field Goal. The Packers did not settle, going 71 yards in three plays to make it 14-3 on a run by Aaron Jones. The Dolphins defense stiffened the rest of the half, as Sanders and two more field goals to keep Miami in the game 14-9.

The Dolphins got another chance to take the lead early in the third quarter when Brandon Bolden blocked JK Scott’s punt. However, Miami settled for a field goal and still trailed 14-12 despite the golden opportunity. It would be the last chance the Dolphins had as the Packers soon pulled away with Aaron Jones have a second touchdown run, while Devante Adams reeled in a second touchdown catch following an ugly Osweiler interception. At that point, 28-12 could have felt like 49-0 as the Dolphins injuries continued to mount as cornerback Bobby McCain was lost with a possible concussion, while on offense they lost running back Kenyan Drake and receivers Jakeem Grant and DeVante Parker. Green Bay would tack on a field goal in the for a final score of 31-12 as the Dolphins hobbled into the bye week at 5-5.

Before their next game, I want confirmation at that Kyle Johnston is who he says he is. Let’s get Scooby and the gang on the case because if my suspicions are correct, the Dolphins trainer is actually Ray Ramirez.
