You’ve been following the same post-election coverage I have. So you know that depending on where your news from, 2018 was either a huge win for that team or a total vindication of the other team. It was either a Blue Wave or a Red Tide. An utter victory over the Nazis or a complete demolition of the Communists. I mean, it seems to me like America split the difference. Like one of those Survivor votes that comes out in a tie, the country wrote both names down and made them draw rocks or build a fire or whatever. But what do I know?

Here’s what I know. I know that when there’s uncertainty in our nation’s politics and it’s hard to put it into proper context, there is one place I like to turn for all my news and analysis. Babes for Trump 2020.

Those lovely, fabulous, MAGA -wearing, gun-toting, wall-building, red, white & blue smokeshows who don’t mind the occasional reference to pussy-grabbing as long as it gets us that much closer to free trade with China. They’re my go-to when I want to get my thumb on the pulse of the national zeitgeist. It’s been a while since I’ve checked in on them, but here’s what they’ve been up to during the run up to Election Night and beyond.

They voted:

And mostly, they carried guns. Lots and lots and lots of guns. The 2nd Amendment has a safe space at BFT2020:

So what have we learned? What is the takeaway from all this? Beats the hell out of me. I just know that this is the kind of campaigning I think we’d all like to see from across the political spectrum. More Insta sites like Babes for Trump is just what democracy needs more of to bridge our great cultural divide. Our Founders would’ve been proud.
