Jimmy Kimmel's "Lie Witness News" Interviewed People A Week Early About Voting In The Midterms And It Is CRINGEWORTHY

Source - Yes, the midterm elections are on Tuesday, Nov. 6. But with typically lower than usual voter turnout in the midterms compared to presidential elections, getting people to vote (or not lying about it) can be a challenge. Fortunately, Jimmy Kimmel has a good way of shaming people into ensuring they vote: by asking people about their voting experience, last Tuesday.

Surprisingly, people have exceptionally detailed answers lying about what it was like to vote. We hope that their experiences are the same when they do it for real tomorrow.

For all the political bullshit that Jimmy Kimmel gets involved with, he seems to be a pretty level-headed guy. He went through a rough patch in terms of ratings, but the show has rebounded partially because of videos like this. He’s just so good at letting people dig their own grave to the point that it makes you feel bad for the person doing the digging. Yeah, they’re in the wrong for lying, but how bad would that suck if this happened to you? You’re on your way home and get guilted into lying about the midterms, then put on blast by Jimmy-fucking-Kimmel. What a nightmare.

You can see the wheels starting to turn as soon as the microphone is put in their face. Credit to this guy for taking the time to describe the imaginary chocolate chip cookies he was eating. Rule number one of lying is you need to commit.

The whole thing makes me cringe. So if you’re walking around Hollywood and see a camera crew walk the other way. That or actually vote and don’t lie about it. Whatever works for you.
