Chills. Goosebumps. Tingles. Hairs standing on end. A little bit of leakage.
We are 3 yards away from a career milestone 19 years in the making. One no one could’ve predicted when that skinny former catcher was doing his Combine 40 so slow that if he was on natural grass he would’ve been reclaimed by nature. And yet that’s where we find ourselves. From the touchdown scramble against Oakland in the Snow Bowl to the all-time best ankle-breaking juke on Brian Urlacher to all those 1-yard plunges on short yardage and goal line conversions, we are finally on the verge. And Tom Brady is feeling it. And like Bruce Wayne in the pit, he’s angry.
Try to come up with a better scenario than him cracking the 1,000 mark against a great running QB like Aaron Rodgers in prime time in what will undoubtedly be the most watched game of the year. Better yet, don’t. You can’t.
I won’t wish the weekend away, but can we just flip the coin and kick this thing off already? We need to see #TB1K.
