Not In The Mood To Run Through A Wall Today? This Hype Video And Quotes Will Change That

Needless to say this is the biggest week in Kentucky football history. I don’t care what happened in the 1950s, this is the biggest week. This is the week that matters. So needless to say they are doing an unbelievable job of getting the word out there. I blogged about the signs in Times Square, which is awesome. But, now? Oh, now we’re ready to run through a goddamn wall.

I mean the hype video is perfect. You have Kash Daniel, one of the best characters in the sport right now, narrating it. You have the fans of all shape and sizes standing there. It’s a call for everyone in the Commonwealth to get ready for this game. I’ll say this. Kentucky football fans are unique. I know people like to make fun of us – but there are dozens! That said, Commonwealth Stadium can be an amazing crowd. I was there when Kentucky football was decent. I saw home wins over Georgia, No. 9 Louisville and No. 1 LSU. That crowd can get into it. It’s nowhere near the bluebloods obviously, but with the changes to the stadium, taking away some seats and making it more on the field, it can get loud. That’s what this is about.

Oh and if that wasn’t enough, we had Benny Snell write for the Player’s Tribune. Snell is one of the reasons as to why this program is where it is right now. He was a 3-star guy from Columbus, Ohio that wasn’t recruited by any of the big programs. He’s turned into one of the best statistical running backs in SEC history. He’s sort of been the face of Kentucky football over the last 3 seasons. He’s an electric personality and now here’s what he’s saying leading into the biggest game of the year.

So now it’s like: Oh yeah? Not interested in me? I’m not quick enough? Don’t have enough stars next to my name to be worth your time? Well here … enjoy this three-star stiff-arm to your damn chest.

I want Kentucky to be known as a basketball Mecca and a football powerhouse.

What you’re going to see out there on the field against Georgia is a true brotherhood, giving it all we got and laying it out on the field.

Yeah, this is a different year. We’ve never seen a year like this in Kentucky. Part of me doesn’t know how to act and that’s awesome as a fan. So, here we are. Two days left before the Georgia game. One game away from a trip to Atlanta. One game away from history. Run through that goddamn wall.
