You Knew It Was Just A Matter Of Time Before Andre Drummond Spoke About Last Night
In 2018, you knew it was only a matter of time before we heard Andre Drummond clap back on social media about his dust up with Joel Embiid last night. I touched on it in my earlier blog, but now that we have our response from Drummond, it is my obligation to share
If you follow Drummond you know he isn’t shy about getting after it on social media, and I have to say his Instagram post was much better than his Twitter response to the video of Embiid in the locker room talking about how he owns all the real estate in his head. I mean make no mistake about it, Embiid flopped his face off, and it was kind of weak that he said “he hit my face” like bro we all have Twitter were things are analyzed frame by frame, you flopped, it’s OK, everyone does it.
Sadly though, the facts sort of side with Embiid for this rivalry. I mean head to head he does sort of own Drummond, and that’s not something a lot of other bigs can say. Usually, it’s Drummond imposing his will on them, but not with Embiid. The facts are the facts
And also, would you say Embiid is fat and out of shape? I mean he’s playing 34.3 minutes a night so far this season compared to Drummond’s 28. That feels like a weird attempt at a burn if a guy is playing more than you in my opinion. I mean the reality is he can’t really guard Embiid, and he was so happy to get you out of the game because he was trolling, which is what Embiid does. It’s not a Drummond thing, he literally does that finger wave “get em outta here” thing whenever he fouls someone out. So again, the more I think about it the weaker Drummond’s clap back is.
I did enjoy the #Emmyaward dig, because again Embiid did 100000% flop,
but for someone who is usually better at talking shit online, I expected more from Andre Drummond. Whatever though, they are undefeated and own the Head to Head matchup so far this season so I guess that’s all that matters.
