GARDEN GROVE (KABC) — Nine people in an Orange County drug ring have been indicted for trying to ship 25 pounds of meth disguised as Aztec calendars and decorations from Garden Grove to Hawaii. The drugs were part of a nearly 90-pound shipment that appeared to be colorful, decorative Mexican items, including the replicas of the 500-year-old Aztec calendar stone. The U.S. Attorney’s office said Tuesday that 25 pounds of disguised meth were intercepted in July in Orange County. Officials say the traffickers also tried to ship five pounds of the drug to Hawaii inside bags of ground coffee.

I have a serious question. How the FUCK did these drug smugglers get caught smuggling 25 pounds of meth inside Aztec calendars and decorations? How? That seems impossible. What a job by the folks who caught this one. Great job by them. That’s really what it boils down to. The smugglers didn’t do anything wrong it’s the authorities who are the real story here. They’re the headline. Sometimes drug smugglers just have to tip their cap to the authorities and this is one of those times. Replicas of Aztec calendars are as rock solid an item as you’re gonna find for smuggling drugs. Like I bet the smugglers who sent those drugs call the Aztec calendar shipment the Never-Get-Caught Shipments because they have a 100% success rate. It was rock solid until it wasn’t. That’s the fight game.

For real though, who the fuck looks at a bunch of Aztec calendars and thinks, “Bet there’s drugs in there”? Almost nobody. Drugs are usually smuggled in std shit like mangos or pineapples or oil drums or car tires. Replica Aztec calendar?s Nope. Let’em through. If I wouldn’t even think to check those. I mean if smugglers can’t get their drugs through in replica Aztec calendars then they should stop smuggling all together. They can’t and never will win.
