Yawn. This could be a scheduled tweet and blog,  Alex Ovechkin netting his 5th (he scored his 6th as I was typing this) goal of this young season, and in spectacular fashion. John Carlson feeds Ovi a bouncing puck, for normal players this puck would bounce over their stick and the play would be dead, not in this case. Ovi calmly slaps at it and deposits it in the back of the net to beat Henrik Lundqvist. It was just the Gr8's 231st (his 232nd career PP goal was scored minutes after) career PP goal, not a big deal.
I know its a power play, but that the fact that there is no one around Ovechkin is insane. I mean at this point you Midas whale do a box and 1 type thing on him. You have to have someone shadow him at all times. As a Capitals fans I would ask that teams keep leaving him unattended on these power plays, I was just suggesting how teams would play defense on him, but to each their own.
Just another beauty by the best goal scorer of our generation. If I was a betting man I'd throw all my money on him breaking Gretzky's career goal record, possibly by next season at this pace.
PS. As I'm typing this blog he literally just had another goal from the same spot, It's unreal how good he is from there. You know he's going to shoot it and its still almost unstoppable.
