Elias Pettersson Is Here To Stay

Elias Pettersson was the talk of the hockey world leading up to the season until Tom Wilson decided to go start taking people’s heads off, and people were talking about him for good reason. The Canucks rookie is absolutely filthy and it was on display tonight in just his first NHL game.

Pettersson scored the first goal of the game and of the season tonight for the Canucks against the Flames, I’m sure it will be the first of many. I mean, just look at this shot, this kid is going to score a lot of goals in the NHL.

Buddy is going to be so good it is insane. I wrote a blog a few weeks ago about how the Canucks future may be different than we thought, and that they might not suck this season. Well if Pettersson keeps shooting the puck like this, I don’t think they’ll have a problem.

Like I said in the other blog, the Canucks are still a bunch of pieces away. But man, Pettersson can play. Add him to the mix with Boeser, Horvat and Gaudette and you have some young studs to build around.
