[Cincinnati] – Why is Duane ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ Chapman involved?

The man, Shawn Christy is one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives and TV star Duane Chapman thinks he can get the fugitive to surrender. 

Wednesday afternoon, Duane Chapman said he was retained by a friend of the Christy family who he cannot identify publicly, the Mansfield News Journal reported.

“I have a very hot lead,” Chapman said.

Oh, you thought you could just threaten the President and a bunch of other people and get away with it? Well, now yous can’t leave, Shawn. What a weird way to spell Shawn though. I’ve always been someone who thinks that about how people spell names differently – I’m looking at you Sean/Shawn/Shaun, Caitlin/Kaitlyn/Katlyn, Brittney/Brittany/Britni. I’m judging you. There are correct ways to spell a name, we need to do better as a society to agree on that.

So what’s going on here? Well, Shawn Christy became one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives after posted threats on Facebook between June 3 and 12, 2018, saying that he was going to shoot President Trump in the head, and was going to use “lethal force” on any law enforcement officer attempting to detain him. He has also threatened a Medal of Honor recipient.

Christy has been on the run since then. Being seen in West Virginia after stealing a jeep in Kentucky and now believed to be in Ohio after stealing a car from Pennsylvania. So with the FBI and everyone else in Ohio searching for him, America went to the big guns.
