Hotels In Spain Have Started Removing Minibars Because Too Many Tourists Filled The Empty Bottles With Piss

Metro- Brits have been replacing drinks in minibar bottles with their own pee in one part of Spain, research claims. One in three tourists has admitted to refilling bottles with urine, water and other liquids in hotel rooms in the Costa Blanca. It is believed to be done so tourists, many of whom are said to be British, can avoid paying often expensive prices for the drinks. But now hotels in the region are uniting to remove minibars altogether, instead forcing guests to use vending machines in corridors and receptions. The research was carried out by Hosbec, a hotel association for Costa Blanca and Benidorm. It said Brits are the worst offenders. ‘It may seem ridiculous, but I can assure you it is true. ‘We have had people filling bottles with pee, and thank God that staff have always detected it,’ the spokesman said.

What a move. Anything to save a buck I guess. I’m often reminded that there are people out there who are much much smarter than me. Like I would’ve never thought of this. My mind just doesn’t think like that. Scammers might be looked at as assholea but they are creative assholes. Give me a million years and I wouldn’t ever think to piss in an empty minibar bottle to save some money. Sure maybe that means I have manners but what I gain in decorum I lose in my bank account. Minibars are wildly expensive. Those mini bottles of booze are like $20. Why? Because we’re a society of booze hounds. They know that people will drink them. There’s no dollar amount we won’t spend to get our buzz on. These tourists who were pissing in the bottles were just trying to combat being gouged by the hotels. I fully support them in their quest to replace alcohol with urine and save a little bit of coin.

By the way, how do they know this is true?

‘It may seem ridiculous, but I can assure you it is true. ‘We have had people filling bottles with pee, and thank God that staff have always detected it,’ the spokesman said.

That simply cannot be true. It’s true that they’ve always detected it every time they’ve detected it. Hard to argue that but that doesn’t mean it’s been a 100% success rate. That’s simply not possible. It’s impossible to know. There could’ve been times they didn’t catch it and tourists drank the pee of other tourists. All they know is that they’ve found piss in the bottles every time they’ve found piss in the bottles. That has nothing to do with every time its happened. They might’ve only caught it 3% of the time. Who knows. They sure don’t.
