Did Dez Bryant Forget To Sign Out Of His Twitter Account And Into His Burner?
UPDATE: This tweet has just been deleted
If I had to make a list of NFL players that potentially had burner accounts, Dez Bryant would probably be in my Top 3, maybe Top 1. Actually is Dez Bryant technically even an NFL player right now? I think you have to be on an actual NFL roster to be an NFL player. Anyway, everything we’ve seen from Dez on social media tells me that he could be one of those people that takes social media wayyyyyy too seriously to the point where he could create a burner. I’ve blogged about Dez going on a Twitter rant. So has Nate. So has Kaycee. And so on and so on. In this case I actually don’t blameDez. If you are Dez Bryant and trying to get a job, creating a bunch of Twitter Egg Dez Stans that scream how great he is online may actually be better than Dez sending NFL GMs his game tape from last season. I used to get enough Cowboys fans (and maybe Dez burner accounts) in my mentions telling me that Dez was better than Odell Beckham to the point I would actually think “Wait, is Dez better than I think?”. Then I would look at the stats and see Odell on a pace for one of the best starts to a career in NFL history while Dez’s stats headed the direction of M. Night Shyamalan’s Rotten Tomatoes score. Now Dez is at the point where he either got caught with a burner account or is just talking to himself on Twitter while the NFL game plans for Week 2. Yikes.
If Dez does have a burner however, I neeeeeeeed to see what it says. The Jerry Jones Era Cowboys easily have the best secrets/stories in the NFL and a burner account would be the perfect place for an angry Dez to anonymously leak tidbits whenever he felt disrespected by the Cowboys.
Reminder though, Dez is still as #unbothered today as he was when the Cowboys released him in April.
#unbothered
P.S. How many of these likes, retweets, and replies do you think are from Dez and Skip burner accounts?
