Does This Look Like The Face Of An Officer Who Used A Taser To Wake Up A Kid Sleeping In Class?

WSRZ- A school resource officer in Ohio has been put on unpaid leave after she used her department-issued Taser to roust a student who had fallen asleep in class. According to the Washington Post, a junior at Liberty Preparatory School in Smithville, Ohio was having trouble staying awake during class. After his teacher failed to wake the student, she tried summoning the interim principal for help, who was also unable to wake him. That’s when the educators decided to call in the school resource officer, a part-time member of the local police named Maryssa Boskoski. When asked to wake the student, Boskoski reached into her holster and pulled out her department-issued Taser. Witnesses say she removed the firing cartridge from the weapon, and pulled the trigger, causing a sharp electric buzz that scared the student awake.

Ohhhhhhhhhh I bet people are upset about this one. Fire up the outrage machine. They shouldn’t be outraged. If you read the article closely it clearly says that the taser never touched the student. The cop took the taser cartridge and then fired off the taser. She just fired off a warning shot to wake the sleeping student. I don’t see anything wrong with that. That’s what she was brought in to do and I’d say she did her job. Maybe the kid shouldn’t have been sleeping in the class in the first place, ever think of that? Maybe the blame should fall on the parents for raising a shitty kid? I can attest to just how loud taser’s are because there was one floating around Barstool Sports HQ for awhile and people would randomly fire it and the whole office would poop its pants. It’s a terrifying sound.

By the way, parents can be as upset as they want about what that officer did but I guarantee there won’t be anymore sleeping students in that school. No Zs will be caught in those classrooms. Isn’t that what they want? You make an example out of one student and it ripples out to the rest. That shit spreads like wildfire. It would’ve been really effective if after she fired off the taser the officer would’ve yelled, “THE NEXT ONE’S GOING IN YOUR SKULL!” That would’ve really put the fear of God into those students.
