Missouri GOP Rep. Goes Full Farm Auctioneer To Stop Protester

Another day in the D.C. circus was made a little more interesting when GOP Rep. Billy Long brought a bit of his home state, Missouri, to a committee hearing. But first…

Facing the Sunday Scaries this past Winter I wound up watching hours of the PA Farm Show on our public access channel, as one does. Just as I started to drift off, I stumbled upon a totally unexpected smokeshow during the auctioneer calling contest & it brightened my day.

Though it also involved auctioneer-calling, the same cannot be said for Laura Loomer’s day. She’s a far-right activist who crashed yesterday’s House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. From CNN:

“You are censoring conservatives,” she said. “I am asking you, President Donald Trump, help us. Please help us, Mr. President, before it is too late, because Jack Dorsey is trying to influence the election, to sway the election to the Democrats and steal the election. That is why he’s censoring and shadow banning conservatives. You are a liar, Jack Dorsey. You are a liar.”

As security guards muscled her out of the room, she uttered a final salvo: “We are not Russian bots, we are conservatives.”

The main reason for Loomer’s outburst is that she and many other conservatives were unverified on Twitter in November. She accused Twitter of “eradicating” her presence “just like Hitler.”
