I'm Currently In The Process Of Trying To Become A Black Coffee Drinker. Ask Me Anything

So this is a pretty big moment in my life. I’ve decided that it’s time to finally make the switch over to black coffee. Why, you may ask? Well for a couple of reasons. For starters, I feel like it’s a maturity/status thing. Loading up your coffee with cream and sugar is for children. And for quite some time, I was perfectly content with being a child. French vanilla, hazelnut, sweet cream, didn’t matter. I’d load that shit up on the regular. But the time comes in every man’s life where you need to stop being a fuckin’ dinosaur and grow up. I feel that time has come for me.

Secondly, there is a health aspect to the decision. In case you forgot, I am one of the many athletes in the world who have been afflicted by the dreaded torn ACL. It happens to the best of us, unfortunately. And as somebody who is now going through my 2nd torn ACL, I know how easy it is to turn into a fat piece of shit after you get your surgery because you can’t really do too much working out to off set all the shit you put in your body. So you have to be careful about that sort of thing. You can’t just be eating burgers every day and not expect to blow up over those few months while you’re out of commission. So cutting cream out of the daily diet definitely helps in that aspect.

But now here’s the issue–black coffee can’t even come close to competing with cream and sugar. Like they are two completely different beverages. I don’t want to say that black coffee sucks but it sure as shit is not great. So it’s quite the predicament I’ve found myself in here but they say that nothing worth having comes easy. So I guess I have no other choice but to just battle through the adversity. Continue to power through each cup of black coffee until I trick my tastebuds into liking it. It may be a long and difficult journey, but I believe I’m up for the task. And maybe there are many more of you out there who are like me. Maybe there are more of you out there who wish to switch over to black coffee but just aren’t strong or brave enough to make the jump yourself. Let me just say right now that I am here for all of you. We can do this together.
