Wake Up With An NBA Countdown: Top 100 Crossovers Of 2018

Boston Celtics v Golden State Warriors

Good morning everybody, happy Monday! If you’re like me, showing up to work today was a gigantic kick in the dick. Feels like maybe we all fought in #RNR4 as you now have to deal with everything that Friday You put off. Because of that misery, I knew I had to bring out the big guns for today’s video. We needed something that wasn’t just going to be a quick 2 minute Top 10 video of some player from the 80s you don’t give a shit about. We needed something dominant, in great definition, and long as fuck.

Well, fortunately for us the NBA just wrapped up it’s handles week and because they are a fine organization that cares about its fans and their inability to focus at work, they put everything together in one video for us to enjoy. Now if you’re ready my blogs before you know what  sucker I am for a good crossover, in fact I’m on record saying I would much rather get dunked on and sent to the center of the earth than crossed up. At least with the dunk you can try and put in some defensive effort, but when it comes to getting crossed up, especially in today’s world of the internet, it’s far worse in my opinion. The good news for us is that the NBA is filled with dudes who have outrageous handles and they come from almost every position. You know how they say in baseball one of the appeals is you could see history happen on any night? Well the same is sort of true with the NBA. It’s awesome because on any given moment, or on any given possession, you may see someone shook out of their goddamn shoes and embarrassed for the entire internet to remember forever. There’s a certain appeal in that for sure.

And while there are some legend of the crossover game like Tim Hardaway, Allen Iverson, Steve Francis, Jason Williams, Jordan, etc, I think we’re at an age of the NBA where the creativity and nastiness of handles are at a new level. We’re seeing players try shit today I’m not sure those of the past would even have the creativity to try, and that’s why the league has never been better in my opinion.

So take a load off this Monday morning, don’t answer those emails for at least another 30 minutes, and enjoy some of the best breakdowns the 2018 season had to offer. As always if there is a player or type of countdown you’d like to see simply list them in the comments below, otherwise let’s just try and get through his brutal Monday together.
