Jordan Spieth Tells The Real Story Behind His New Haircut

So earlier today Jordan Spieth’s new haircut became the talk of the internet town. He stepped onto the first tee at Carnoustie and it was pretty clear something was different. I hypothesized that his fellow golfers at the Frat House caught him sleeping with his shoes on and gave him a buzz cut during his slumber. Other people had other ideas like maybe Spieth lost a backyard soccer bet to the guys and had to cut his hair. What really happened? Jordan Spieth simply wandered into a barber shop the morning of the third round of the British Open and got a haircut. That’s it. He just got a haircut. His hair was long and the barber took a little more off the sides than Spieth’s used to.

It’s wild that nobody knew who he was or that nobody mentioned that they knew who he was when he was getting the haircut. If Spieth does that during a US Open he is bombarded on the streets at every turn. Also, shout out to Spieth for tipping $11 on a $9 haircut that he didn’t love. That’s what you do. You over tip even it’s a bad hair cut. I once tipped a ton after a barber gave me a haircut I hated. I didn’t do it because I’m a great guy. I did it because I knew that he knew that I knew that he gave me a bad haircut* and we both felt uncomfortable. Sounds like Spieth did something similar.
