Just Give Benny Snell The Heisman Trophy After The Most Confident Interview Ever At SEC Media Day

Hold on a second and let me clear my fake glasses here. Trying to see if that’s Benny Snell or pre-injury Boobie Miles. I love this move though. Benny Snell is an absolute beast and I’d say that even if I wasn’t a Kentucky fan. It wouldn’t shock people to see him listed as a top-5 running back in the country this year and for sure a top-10 guy as he enters his junior year.

But now he’s bringing out this move? Just give him the Heisman. You don’t pull out this sort of cockiness + a grade A pocket square here without winning the Heisman. That’s just the fact. Baker Mayfield? Cocky and won the Heisman. Next up will be Benny Snell.

In his two years at Kentucky, Snell has rushed for 2,424 yards (including 1,333 last year) and 32 touchdowns. More importantly, as he stated himself, he’s durable. He had 186 carries as a freshman and then 262 last year. He was 25th in the country last year rushing behind a young offensive line. With Kentucky losing Stephen Johnson and another year of growth for the line, Snell could easily run for 1,500 yards this year.

I say it all the time. We want athletes to give real interviews and then kill them when they speak their mind. I love that Snell is out here saying he’s the best running back in the SEC and not doing just some bullshit coach speak. Let’s just hope a ref doesn’t help him up and then get offended when he doesn’t want help only to eject him from a game. Still one the worst ejections I’ve seen.
