Wake Up With An NBA Countdown: Best Summer League Dunks

Good morning everybody, happy Monday! You don’t have to have me tell you to know today sucks, nobody wants to be at work right now. I hope you all had a great weekend and to help you ease your way into things I figured why not start the day with something we all love. Summer League dunks. You see while there are many that will tell you Summer League is a waste of time, I never really understood that way of thinking. Sure nothing we see during this time will tell us who is going to lose to the Warriors in 5 games next June, but these games are filled with pretty impressive individual plays that if you simply like the sport of basketball you should enjoy watching.

When it comes to dunking this is especially true. You see the Summer League is great because people don’t always try hard, and that allows guys to showcase some of their athleticism. I don’t care what level it’s at, whether it’s high school, college, NBA, Summer League, a ProAm whatever, you give me some quality dunking, I’m a happy camper. With guys trying to make rosters and do everything they can to stand out, I feel like we always have a good crop of dunks to choose from each summer.

Which is why today we’ll look at the best dunks the NBA put together from the opening weekend at the MGM resorts. Almost 8 full minutes of action because I care about you and feel like you don’t need to get started on your TPS reports just yet. Consider this one last effort to extend your weekend with some entertaining plays. As always if you want to start your day with a certain player or type of play, whatever honestly, just list it in the comments below. Enjoy the video and have yourself an awesome Monday!

I also had to include this dunk because it came a few days after the NBA put out the video above, but my word did Devin Robinson catch a body here
