Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte Says He'll Resign If Someone Can Prove God Exists

CNN — President Rodrigo Duterte, amid tensions between the church and state, continued to challenge Christians about their God.

“And if there is anyone of you there, the noisy ones, who would say that you have been to heaven, and talked to God and saw him personally and that he exists, the God that is yours. And if that is true, I will step down from the Presidency tonight,” he said Friday in a speech at the National Science and Technology Week Celebration in Mindanao at the SMX Convention Center in Lanang, Davao City.

Quick refresher, Duterte is the Philippines president who:

Once said he’ll burn the United Nations to the ground.

Once called Obama the “son of a whore.”

Once said he would eat ISIS’ livers with salt and pepper.

Once likened himself to Hitler.

And here he is declaring he’ll resign if someone can prove god exists. Genius move. People have been trying to prove the existence of god for like 10,000 years. No luck. Tying your resignation status to the proof of something unprovable is just smart.
