Harold Varner III Didn't Win Yesterday But Kept His Promise And Mowed His Parents' Lawn This Morning

I like Harold Varner a lot and this move just reinforces that. It helps that he’s a Fore Play guy and he loves The Bachelor like I do. When we had him on the show he was equally qualified to talk about golf AND he he was able to talk about the Corrine/DeMario situation on Bachelor In Paradise. That’s my kind of guy. It’s very cool that he still mowed his parents’ lawn after the Greenbrier yesterday. Varner made $247,000 yesterday and then woke up at the ass crack of dawn and mowed. That’s a good dude. And yeah, he was leading the tournament after 54 holes and then Kevin Na caught fire so he could’ve made a lot more. But 247,000 dollars is 247,000 dollars. If anything, still mowing the lawn after not winning is even more admirable.

I’ve said it before I but I used to love mowing lawns. Like really love it. I’d mow every lawn I could when I was a kid. I think I’d still mowing lawns if I did it on a regular basis. Some part of my brain just really likes the simplicity of it. I have a simple brain. The perfectly straight lines. The feeling of accomplishment. There’s nothing more peaceful. You can do a lot of thinking when you’re mowing a lawn. Would I still mow a lawn at 7am after I made $247,000 over a weekend? Probably not. Definitely not. HV3 is a better man than me.
