Shout Out To Todd The Golden Retriever Who Stopped A Rattlesnake From Biting His Owner
ANTHEM, Ariz. – A golden retriever was attacked by a rattlesnake in Anthem Friday while he and his owner were hiking. The retriever, Todd, and his owner, Paula Godwin, were walking early Friday morning down 7th Street and Carefree Highway when Godwin almost stepped on a rattlesnake, according to Godwin’s Facebook post. Todd jumped to protect Godwin and was bitten in the face in the process, Godwin says. Godwin says on Facebook that Todd is recovering and is “being a normal puppy.”
WHAT A GOOD BOY! WHAT A HERO! TODD FOR PRESIDENT!
Look at Todd’s fucking face. Look at that shit. Swollen like hell and all to protect his owner. Todd probably didn’t even think twice about it either. He took that rattlesnake bite to the face and would take 10,000 more rattlesnake bites to the face to protect Paula. He doesn’t care. Todd is even smiling in that picture where his face looks like dripping goo. Golden retrievers are just the best. No happier dogs than them, Happy to be alive no matter what the circumstance. Whether it’s chasing a ball or having their face look like a damn balloon cause a snake just sank its teeth into them. Always happy-go-lucky. Look at Todd in that picture. He’s laughing in the face of that stupid rattlesnake who dared lunge at Paula’s leg. Sounds like Todd is doing well so that’s good to hear. I bet that rattlesnake is getting laughed at by all his rattlesnake buddies, too. What a loser that rattlesnake is.
PS- Living anywhere where rattlesnakes just freely slither around is insane. Just wanted that on record.
