Michael Porter Jr Finally Got Drafted

The Nuggets hated life all season once they realized Donovan Mitchell was a stud. This year the Basketball Gods gave them a do over with the gift that is Michael Porter Jr. A kid that was in discussions for #1 at one point, then had some medical issues, this is the prayer the Nuggets were hoping for. Pick after pick Porter Jr kept sliding, despite his crazy high ceiling. The Nuggets are now rolling with Jokic/Millsap/Porter/Harris/Murray which is pretty fucking good if you ask me. Porter will be able to slide into the Millsap spot once his contract is up and that’s a very solid group of young core talent. For a team that was a game away from making the playoffs, if you’re a Nuggets fan you have to be happy.

Now, why did Porter Jr fall like this? Had to be something weird with his medicals. Teams don’t pass on this type of talent unless something scares them off. But you think DEN cares? Get him some of Colorado’s finest and he won’t even feel his injured hip. Give him everything, oils, creams, flower, whatever. Even if he has to miss time the Nuggets have the depth to handle it given the direction their team is currently headed in. Malone is a good coach and just got a potential Ferrari to help get them over the hump.

For entertainment sake I hope we see a super motivated Porter Jr end up tearing up the league. Especially with teams like CLE and LAC who could have definitely used him, I hope he turns into the superstar some say he can be.
