Assassin's Creed: Odyssey SNEAK PEEK With 1 Hour Of Gameplay Footage LIVE At 11:45
A few weeks ago Smitty and I got to take the new Assassins Creed for a test drive and whew boy it is a RIDE! The newest installment, AC: Odyssey, just got announced at E3 and it’s set in the old Greek lands of myth and mystery. And giant ocean battles. And bigass bears. And some environments that are truly a sight to behold…
It’s a fresh start for the franchise and a juicy apple to chomp into gameplay wise. There’s roleplay options within the dialogue responses (I’m talking SEX), a new combat system with finishers like the Spartan Kick, Naval battles and merry sing-alongs, and a choice between playing as two different main characters.
Join us above as we play through a hour of exclusive gameplay, a good chunk ahead of where it all starts out. I chose Kassandra the BAMF and chipped away at completing quests while Smitty picked Alexios the Adonis and dicked around climbing statues and kicking innocent villagers into bolivian.
Spoiler alert: There are still MANY things to climb and endless guards to harass. But the coolest part was definitely the vast openness and freedom of choice in it all. I legitimately felt like I was chilling in B.C. Greece and whether it was a quest or just dicking around, both were an equally fun endeavor. Feel like that was Assassin’s Creed biggest weakness before and now it seems to be their strength.
I’m talking descendant of King Leonidas strength and folks, that don’t just grow on trees. But it does look awesome in 4k. Holy FUCK October is gonna be a loaded month for gaming…
