Uh Oh, Looks Like Big Baby Is In Big Trouble
Man things have NOT been going great for Big Baby Davis recently. If you remember, back in mid March he was arrested for having 126 grams of weed, over $90K in cash, and a ledger that clearly had names and information that a person only has if they are selling. Not great. The funny part is the result of that arrest gave us this video
That’s a Grade A video response. I mean whatever so he was probably selling a little weed, who cares it’s 2018. Well, I’m sorry to say that things have only gotten worse since March, as Big Baby has now been arrested for aggravated assault from an incident that happened shortly after this video came out. According to TMZ
Glen “Big Baby” Davis has been formally charged with felony assault stemming from an alleged violent altercation in April and if he’s convicted … he faces up to 7 YEARS in prison, TMZ Sports has learned.
We broke the story … the 32-year-old ex-NBA player was arrested last month after prosecutors say he beat the living hell out of a man outside a West Hollywood nightclub.
The alleged victim was hospitalized with several major injuries including facial fractures, a broken tooth and broken ribs.
A rep for the L.A. County District Attorney’s office tells us the official charge is felony assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury … and it carries a possible 7-year prison sentence.
Yikes. Not sure how Big Baby spins this one. Certainly has nothing to do with his loads and loads of jumpshots. And to be honest this doesn’t surprise me. Back when he was on the Celtics and broke his hand/thumb in 2009 after getting into a fight with his friend, my buddy was living in the same complex as him in Waltham. Whatever went on in that car on the way back carried over into the parking lot and basically everyone who lived there saw it go down. So to hear that Davis got into another fight doesn’t isn’t all that shocking.
Who knows what happened to spark this fight, but Davis is still a gigantic asshole. I’m not sure how Davis could talk his way out of this given his past and all the recent legal troubles, which means he’s probably going to end up going to prison for quite some time. Everyone please be on the lookout if he puts his 08 ring on Ebay to help cover legal costs, because I may or may not be willing to give him $11 dollars for it.
