Every network in the nation swarmed on the Novacare Complex today to get their greedy media paws on any scraps the Eagles had to offer about the President Trump White House disinvitation. The Eagles didn’t give them much. Doug Pederson was the sacrificial lamb thrown to the media wolves and handled everything with class:

Boom. Everything that has been said is said, we have more Super Bowls to win. Roasted. However, it’s not surprising some other members on the Eagles had some things to say. Or not say. Or something.

The team captain and vocal leader of all things, including social issues, Malcolm Jenkins went full Bob Dylan (or full Love Actually, damn you millenials). I wouldn’t be surprised if Doug Pederson/Jeffrey Lurie put out a gag order on anybody talking about the White House situation and Malcolm Jenkins took that as literally as possible. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. The Eagles leader took advantage of the situation in a generally positive way without causing any more of an uproar. Good on Malcolm.

Other people spoke in general terms but mostly it was about the team being united and looking forward to the future, as it should be.

In more important news, Carson Wentz is reportedly “shockingly” ahead of schedule on his ACL rehab and should be A01-OK for the season opener vs. the Falcons. He shall be risen…
