Things Are Going Great: Geno Smith Has Been So Bad, He's Now Telling Raiders Fans/Media To Blame Him For Anything That Goes Wrong In Their Lives

[Source] - Smith then said the blame should always be on him, although he said it in a way that suggests he thinks reporters often blame him even when it’s not his fault.

“You guys watch the film, I know we’ve got a lot of Monday morning quarterbacks who like to watch film and take screenshots and see where guys were open, so I’m sure you guys will see where the guys were open,” Smith said. “I’ve just got to play better. I keep saying this. If something don’t look right out there, blame it on me. If it don’t look right, blame it on me. That’s all you can do, blame it on me. If your kids mess up at school, blame it on me. Car break down on the way to work? Blame it on me.”

Between naming things and traveling, I missed this yesterday.

That's on me, but I can blame Geno Smith for that. I see some people saying this is him being sarcastic, sick of being blamed for everything. Sure, to a degree. Has he seen himself play? He's been awful. The Raiders are awful. They are probably the worst team to have to watch in a standalone game. At least the Titans have Cam Ward who can sometimes do cool shit. The Raiders can barely get the ball to Brock Bowers and Ashton Jeanty, which seems to be a problem since Jeanty is a running back.

If I'm Geno, I just say thanks for the money and the extension, that wasn't really needed but appreciated. Oh, yeah, things haven't been great, you can blame me as QB1. That's a fairly boiler plate type answer from a quarterback. It's not people playing Monday Morning Quarterback, it's people just being forced to watch the Raiders. You're the one team who couldn't do jackshit against a bad Cowboys defense. Even Russ Wilson threw for like 400 yards and looked like it was 2012 back there.

Things are going great in Vegas. Any time you can open up blame for a broken down car or kids screwing up, you simply have to take it. I will be doing just that if something goes wrong today.
